Call Your Mom, Composition | iPhone Case
Just shortly after entering 2024, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Something I never imagined saying aloud. I have always longed for a way to use my artwork to shed light on health and wellness. And at a time where everything feels wrong, it feels like the right time to do so. This project is titled, Call Your Mom, a selection of apparel for my mom, in support of her fight with breast cancer. A percentage of sales will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
Living Beyond Breast Cancer is a national nonprofit that connects people with trusted information and a community of support. Receiving a diagnosis and fighting cancer is a lonely, frustrating, and scary journey. LBBC provides those struggling with a helpline, conferences and webinars, online support groups, volunteer opportunities, and funding. Their commitment to a vision of a world where no one impacted by breast cancer feels abandoned and uninformed makes me hopeful for the future and for my mom’s journey.
